Hi andreas, this is really cool! sure you can understand the parallelism, very insightful. But just because of this parallelism, i wouldn't say "evolution vs evolution" but something like 'co-evolution' or 'parallel evolution'. You know what i mean?

Hi, great man, how r u?

Concerning your poster: the idea is brilliant (as usual!), but I have some doubts about the final stadium.
In the evolution of man, the "homo computerens" seems to be smthing less (or, at least, really differnt) than the "homo abilis"...since his ability is related to an external tool "able to think instead of him".
I'm not skilled in avatars and I don't know if the final stadium of avatars represents this sort of enhancement...
so, if it helps, consider this asymmetry!

take care of you,
ema

ps: Italy hopp hop0 hopp!!!! ;-)

Cari amici,
thanks for your comments!

Chrysi, good point. In fact, the vs. I just put here, without much intention. On the poster the headline of the section is Evolution of the Avatar: Same Mistakes?, to emphasize that there is a parallel evolution.

"Marito", great point too. With the avatars it is this: those with the umbrella can fly freely, interact with objects in various ways, etc, and to the contrary those in the rightmost stage are not able to do those things anymore, they are restricted to walk and interact only with those 2D editing walls. So I think, this point is covered as well..

Thanks, and many greetings!

To be really fair, you should have the avatar evolution start not in parallel, but from the last stage in human evolution - actually, that all happens in the computer, and this is why the last stage of man is a hunchback at a desk... Good job, indeed!
